PHOTOGRAPHER

    David Hoffman was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area.  Growing up in
    California, family vacations were often spent in some of the more scenic areas of
    the California coast and of the Sierra Nevada.  For the last thirty years Hoffman has
    lived in or near the Southern Sierra.  He currently resides with his wife Charlotte, a
    painter, near Mariposa, California.  While David has photographed in the Southern
    Sierra for decades, the advent of high quality digital printing encouraged him to
    again become seriously involved in photography.

    Since 2005, David Hoffman has worked mainly in Yosemite NP and the surrounding
    Sierra Nevada, specializing in landscape and nature.  His work can be found in private
    and institutional collections nationwide and has been published in several periodicals,
     including B&W magazine.

    David is represented by the Stellar Gallery in Oakhurst, California.


EVENTS

    YOSEMITE RENAISSANCE  -  Yosemite Renaissance is an annual juried art exhibition which opens at the Yosemite Museum Gallery in
    Yosemite National Park and then travels to other venues in the state.  One of my photographs was chosen for inclusion in Yosemite
    Renaissance XXVI.  The exhibit will open to the public on Friday, February 25, 2011, with a reception from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.  It's always
    a fun party - hope to see you there!  The exhibit will be at the Yosemite Museum Gallery from February 25 through May 2, 2011.

PRINTS

    All prints are on high quality acid-free paper using Epson's K3 Ultrachrome pigment inkset.  Properly displayed - under glass and out of
    direct sunlight - these prints should last more than one hundred years.  Mat board and foam core used are acid-free conservation
    grade materials.  Prints are not dry mounted but rather are hinged to the foam core backing with archival framer's tape, allowing prints
    to be easily removed and re-matted if necessary or desired.
